The complete starting solids system

Most parents guess
their way through
starting solids.

We built the system that takes the guesswork out of starting solids. One connected plan that takes you from the first spoon to confident family meals.

The Pureats System — app, organic jars, allergen intro kit, and divided plate

Our methodology draws on publicly available guidance from AAP, WHO, Health Canada, and ESPGHAN.

Mission

The 5-Block Baby Plate Method

Structure that makes every meal count.

Five building blocks. One plate.
The simplest framework for complete nutrition from the very first bite.

Provide natural sugars, vitamins, and antioxidants. A healthy part of a balanced plate from the start of solids. No added sugar needed, ever.

Try: blueberry, strawberry, pear, apple, banana, mango

Iron-rich protein is the recommended first food for starting solids. It supports brain development and growth, and gives the most absorbable form of iron.

Try: beef, chicken, turkey, peas, lentils, tofu

Provides calcium and protein for strong bones and steady growth. It has its own small place on the plate, once allergens are confirmed safe.

Try: yogurt, cottage cheese, mild cheese

Rich in vitamins, minerals, and fibre. Early variety helps your baby get used to different flavours and textures, a habit that tends to stick.

Try: carrot, cauliflower, broccoli, zucchini, asparagus

Essential, not optional. Most of the brain is built in the first two years, and it needs fat to do it. Fat also helps absorb vitamins A, D, E and K.

Try: olive oil, avocado, nut butters, egg yolk (once allergens introduced)

Provide the energy babies need for rapid growth. Choose whole, unprocessed sources with natural fibre, and vary the texture as your baby grows to build chewing skills.

Try: sweet potato, white potato, oats, rice, soft pasta, barley, quinoa

The research

Every claim has
a study behind it.

We cite specific peer-reviewed research instead of a vague “studies suggest.”

Pureats app

>10 mo

Late introduction of new textures was linked to lower developmental scores. Here’s why our app helps you track what’s been offered, and what’s missing.

Mono-ingredient purees

1 at a time

Offering single foods without added sugar or salt helps shape lasting taste preferences and makes it easy to spot a reaction. That’s why every jar has one ingredient.

Note from the founder

Built by a parent,
for parents.

From a Mother’s Kitchen to Yours

As a mother of two boys, I wanted to create more than baby food. I wanted to build a simple system that helps parents confidently transition babies to the family table.

PurEats was created for modern families who care about nutrition, healthy habits, and real food, but also need convenience in everyday life.

Our philosophy is simple: balanced nutrition, variety, and healthy habits that last for life, built around 5 essential food blocks every child should learn to enjoy from the very beginning.

Simple. Transparent. Thoughtful.

Parents Testimony

I love the idea behind PurEats. It gives parents a clear, step-by-step approach to starting solids, removing so much of the uncertainty that comes with all the conflicting information online. Having access to a supportive community alongside the guidance makes the experience feel even more reassuring.

Anna L. Mom of twins

After looking through the PurEats system, I really love the idea behind it. Starting solids can feel overwhelming as a parent because there’s so much information and so many opinions, so having a clear step-by-step system takes away a lot of the guesswork. I really like that it focuses on building healthy habits from the beginning, introducing different foods, and helping parents feel more confident instead of stressed about every meal. The combination of the plate method, guidance, and practical tools feels very supportive for busy families.

I just started solids with my third baby, and this approach sounds amazing.
